Past Commander Tom Shoemaker
Always proud to wear his Legion colors, Commander Tom Shoemaker has been a main stay at the Post for years. Proud member of the U.S. Navy and ever present at all Post functions Front and center during the Memorial Day parade and Memorial & Veteran’s Days festivities. Commander Shoemaker embodies what it means to be a Legionnaire.
We have been incredibly fortunate to have had Tom as our Commander, not only here at the Post but also as State wide Commander as well. We all know, behind every successful man, there is a woman. Joan has been a phenomenal in her support and contributions in all of Tom’s involvement and we as Sons want to acknowledge her as well.
Commander Shoemaker, you leave your Command better than you found it. You have proven to be a dynamic and inspirational leader. You have made being a member of this Post fun and have pointed us all in a very positive direction. We thank you for your service. God Bless You and God Bless America.
